Alginate wound dressing is the mixture of fiber and Calcium Ion; when it contact exudates and blood, gel will be formed, and lots of exudates can be absorbed; release of calcium ion can activate thrombinogen and speed up hemostasis; it is soft and conformable; it will not stick on wound when removal.
